Hello! I'm a children's entertainer and professional magician available in Rugeley! I'm your local entertainer, and am actually based in Rugeley, and I'm ready to make your next party or event amazing!
I've been performing in Rugeley since 2001, but recently I have performed a Christmas show at Blithfield Reservoir, performed my magic show and party games package at all of the village halls in Rugeley and the surrounding areas including Armitage and Longdon, and performed just my show and balloon modelling at many home birthday parties in Rugeley.
I can perform my magic show and party entertainment for birthday parties or for family occasions such as Christenings, first birthdays, holy communions and weddings. As mentioned I can perform at any of the great party venues in the area, or in the comfort of your home. As I mentioned, I’ve performed at all sorts of children’s parties and family events in the Rugeley area. Here are just some of the events that stand out to me.
8th Birthday Party Rugeley
This event was actually at Rugeley Leisure Centre. I tend to perform more at the village halls and community centres around Rugeley, as I believe this venue is only available for parties on certain days. Anyway, this was a fun show as I actually specialise in magic for older children, making sure the magic and comedy is fun and suitable for their age, and not babyish like some entertainers. It seems my magic and entertainment was exactly what was required, as I received this great feedback after the event.

Ed entertained over 20 children at my daughter's 8th birthday party. He turned up promptly and had everything set up before her friends arrived. He kept the children's interest throughout and managed any over enthusiastic children very well. I would recommend Ed to anyone! He is a really nice guy and puts on a really good show.

Admaston Village Hall Magic Show
I've performed magic at almost all of the Village Halls and Community Centres across Rugeley, and many more across the midlands, but this is one of my favourites. It's got a warm feeling inside, and is perfect for a traditional kids party with a magic show to kick off the party, followed by food (they have a separate kitchen), and then party games, or another activity in the second half. The last time I performed at Admaston Village Hall, it was for a party for a 9 year old, and that suited me very well, as I actually specialise in magic for older children. Unlike some entertainers who work primarily with ages 3 to 6, and as such their show is a bit babyish for older children (think brightly coloured trousers, and farm yard animal themed trick), my show is better for older children age 7 - 13 (think, neon colour, and video gaming themed trick - the type of jaw dropping magic you might see on Britain's Got Talent!)
Colton Village Hall Magic Show
This is a lovely space for a Children's party. It's bright and open, there is plenty of space (and plenty of parking), and there's even an outdoor area for playing in too. I've done a few shows here, but at the last one I got this lovely review.
Ed provided a fun magic show for the whole group, and managed to keep everyone entertained from ages 6 to 60. If you're planning a party make sure you contact him, as he's a really friendly guy and will help you out.

Magic for Scouts
Here's me performing a short show, and a magic workshop for a group of Scouts, in Rugeley. I perform this kind of package for Youth Groups often. It's a great way to engage young people with a unique skill that they might not have tried before. Plus the great thing about magic, is that it's not really about the tricks, but instead it's about communication, collaboration, and problem solving. Magic might seem trivial, but it deals with really serious things, and can be incredibly valuable. Who knows, it might even turn in to a life long hobby, for some of these young people.

Football Club Christmas Magic
This was a series of three events over the Christmas period. I provided a show for the younger children, and the for the older children's group and the families, I provided mix and mingle close up magic. That's a great option for events where there will be a mix of ages present. And more generally magic during Christmas events is a great idea and really ties in well with the spirit of celebrating.

Magic at Amazon Warehouse
Oh, did you know I've performed at an Amazon warehouse? Ok, I know it's not there anymore but in 2014, I performed my magic show there as part of their staff Christmas celebrations. It was a lot of fun meeting everyone and getting to share my magic with families of all ages. My big memory of that day was taking the balloons out of my car, and watching a big gust of wind take them and spread them across the car park and road! I managed to pick some of them up, and make some extras quickly on the day. I guess it's all part and parcel of being a professional entertainer, right?
Rugeley Magic Lessons
A few years ago, I gave a series of magic lessons to a young person in Rugeley. I went to them, once a month, and they really excelled with 1 to 1 tuition. Many people try learning magic on YouTube but the problem is that creators their tend to focus on content, rather than genuine teaching. They expose the secret of how the trick works, but miss a lot of the nuance about why it works, and how to make the magic fly in front of an audience. It was incredible to see how my young student developed and found new confidence once they had access to feedback on how to improve. There's more about my magic lessons here.
Sailing Club Christmas Party Magic Show
Oh! I remember this one very well! It was a really stormy day, and I had to drive my car along the quayside! I thought I was going to go in! Well, by some miracle, I didn't and I was able to get the club house, get all of my kit in (without getting too wet), and perform my own magical miracles for the children and adults at the party! It's all worth it to share the magic of Christmas!
My magic shows for older children, teens, and families are packed with jaw dropping magic and interactive (often improvised) comedy. It's the perfect entertainment for birthday parties, family events, community events, schools, and festivals. I mainly cover Stafford, Lichfield, Staffordshire, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, and East Midlands, but I can travel across the UK.
