Christening Entertainer

Christening, First Birthdays and other family events are a great idea for my magic show and children's entertainment. In 2018, I provided a fun mixed age magic show at Bank House Hotel, Uttoxeter and then after that, I performed close up magic for the adults and children too. This is a great way to make sure everyone is entertained and that all of your guests feel valued. After all, at a family event, it’s worth having family entertainment.

Excellent entertainment for my son’s Christening. Ed entertained the children with a show suitable for all of the children and then fooled us grown up too. Just amazing. If you are hesitating - don't! Book Ed and you won’t regret it.

Family Magic Show Marchington

I loved the show that I performed in Marchington in January 2017. This was a show at the client’s home, but it was a large grand house with some roaring fireplaces keeping the place warm and cosy. The reason this show stands out though is that the whole family gathered round to enjoy the show which was for a young girls birthday. My show is always aimed at the children but I often find families want to watch too. It’s great when they do as children love to be supported by those who love them. I can tell that when the parents are around, the children feel more comfortable to get involved and the show is always better as a result.

School Shows Uttoxeter

I’ve written about this elsewhere but most of the show I perform at are birthday parties. However, in July 2016, I performed at Tynsel Parkes First School. This was actually for a repeat client who had previously hired me for a birthday party. One of the things I always say is that when I am getting repeat bookings or referrals from people who have seen me, it must show that I am doing something right! This was a fun show for years five and six, so the children were a little older and I was performing at their end of school celebration disco.

Magic in schools is a great idea and I have various options for end of school celebrations, reward assemblies and school fete’s / fayres. I really enjoy these types of shows as they are something different for me, and the children always enjoy seeing something unusual at school. It’s an exciting and fun time. Magic Workshop Parties Uttoxeter

For older children, I find that they often want to have a sneak peek behind the magician’s curtain and know how some of the magic works. Because of that I’ve developed a special party package for older children. For groups, age 8 + I swap out my party games for a magic workshop. This is what I did for a 10th birthday party at Kingstone Village Hall. I started with my magic show, which included magic different from my five-year-olds show, and instead suitable for older children. After a break for food, I provided a magic workshop that on this occasion was based on card magic. I included some simple card tricks and gave each young person a pack of cards to take away with them, alongside, of course, the secrets to the few magic tricks they learnt.

5th Birthday Party Uttoxeter

Stramshall Village Hall, Vicarage Dr, Stramshall, Uttoxeter is a wonderful community space that I have performed at on several occasions. On one occasion in July 2014, about half of the children arrived late so while we were waiting for everyone to arrive I provided a quick game with those we were there. This was not part of the package that the client had booked, but I was happy to provide it as an extra as it made sure the party was the best it could be. After the event, the client left me this review.

Fantastic show! Our daughter and her friends had a great time. It takes great skill to keep a group of kids amused and entertained for one hour. So we are very happy with the show. We would definitely recommend Ed.

Party Games Party Package

I always recommend my full two hour party package to parents who like to make their event as stress free as possible. That’s the option I provided in October 2013, when I performed at The Shrewsbury Arms, in Kingstone Uttoxeter. The client enjoyed it and left me a great review afterwards as well as the photo you see below. I really like this photo as it shows me interacting with children and making sure everyone is involved! All my parties games are non-elimination so everyone can be involved and that’s the same for my magic show too where we find the magic together. Everyone has commented on how entertaining Ed was at the party. It was clear from the children's faces their enjoyment of the show. The first part with the party games was excellent, and I thought your way of getting to know each child's name individually was superb. To entertain 17 children all under 5 years old, is a very difficult task, however you managed to maintain their attention throughout.
